These guidelines help ensure that the PinoyIRC Wiki remains accurate, safe, and easy to use for everyone.
Content Quality
- Write clear, concise, and accurate content.
- Use real IRC commands and examples where applicable.
- Avoid speculation or personal opinions; focus on factual information.
- Use headings and bullet points for readability.
- Proofread for spelling, grammar, and clarity.
Linking & Structure
- Link to existing wiki pages when relevant: `display text`.
- Categorize pages properly:
- `Guides`, `Services`, `Bots`, `Troubleshooting`, `Security`, etc.
- Use consistent page naming and titles.
- Avoid duplicate pages; check before creating a new page.
Formatting Standards
- Headings: `====== Heading ======`
- Bold / Italic: `bold`, `italic`
- Lists:
- Unordered: `* item`
- Ordered: ` - item`
- Commands: Use monospace for commands:
`/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>`
Security & Privacy
- Never post passwords, private emails, or personal info.
- Do not post content that could compromise network security.
- Avoid posting scripts from untrusted sources.
- Report security issues to IRC Operators, not publicly.
Collaboration
- Be respectful and courteous to other contributors.
- Discuss major changes in Talk/Discussion pages.
- Cite sources or official documentation when possible.
- Accept constructive feedback gracefully.
