Follow these security tips to protect your nickname, channel, and account on the PinoyIRC Network.
Password Safety
Use a strong password (at least 10 characters)
Combine uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
Never reuse passwords from other websites or services
Never share your password with anyone, including friends or staff

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>

/msg NickServ SET SECURE ON
* Register a **valid email address** for recovery
Channel Protection

* Remove inactive or unknown operators

SSL & Secure Connections
Always connect using SSL/TLS when available
Default SSL port is usually +6697
SSL prevents password sniffing on public networks
