Proper attribution ensures that authors, creators, and sources receive credit for their work. Follow these guidelines when adding content to the PinoyIRC Wiki.

  * Always credit original authors when using their work.
  * Provide **links to official sources** whenever possible.
  * Example:  
    `Source: [[https://www.anope.org/|Anope IRC Services]]`

===== Using Text or Commands =====

  * When copying command examples or text from another guide:
    * Quote or format as code:  
      `/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>`
    * Include the source if not your own creation:
      `Source: Anope Documentation`
  * Avoid copying entire guides verbatim without permission.

===== Using Images or Media =====

  * Only upload images you **own** or that are **free to use** (CC BY, CC0, etc.).
  * Attribute the creator and provide the license if required.
  * Example:
    `Image: "IRC Network Diagram" by Jane Doe, CC BY 4.0`

===== Avoiding Plagiarism =====

  * Do not copy content from other wikis, forums, or websites without permission.
  * Summarize or rewrite information in your own words.
  * Always credit the original source.

  * Whenever possible, link back to the **original source**.
